2004 Frugi was born. Or rather, ’Cut4cloth’ was born, as that was our name back then. Frugi started life as a ‘Eureka’ moment when founders Lucy and Kurt struggled to find clothing to fit over their son’s cloth-nappied bum. (...)
We have a story to tell and a mission to accomplish- to show that superb design, great ethics and passionate people can help to change the world! We only use organic cotton grown by farmers we trust, our outerwear is made from recycled plastic bottles and we’re always looking for new ways to innovate and explore.
Of course it’s organic!
There are so many reasons to love organic cotton, here are just a few…
It’s pure, gentle, soft and snuggly
Organic cotton feels super-soft because the fibres are left intact and not broken down by the chemicals used in the farming and processing of conventional cotton
It’s much kinder to babies and young children’s delicate skin. No harmful chemicals or dangerous dyes are used so organic cotton is less likely to trigger allergies
Organic cotton is more durable and lasts so much longer enabling you to hand it down for generations!
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
Plastic pollution is a huge problem for our planet…we’re working with our suppliers to turn old plastic into something truly fantastic!
It takes 36 recycled plastic drinking bottles to make just one of our winter jackets!
How we work with our suppliers
We have factories in India, Turkey, Portugal and China all making Frugi magic!
We visit our suppliers often, work under our own Frugi Code of Conduct and have a Frugi team based out in India making sure standards are met and everyone is looked after.
